CONVERSATION

Conversation helps you make distinctions about who you are and who we are together. It is not just listening. I inform you, you inform me. Then I can feel safe. I can be stimulated. I can grow. When you don’t have it and you need it, life is bland and quite lonely even if there is someone sitting next to you on the couch.

PHYSICAL TOUCH

Touch: is very real tactile stimulation. Touch is about transmitting and receiving feelings. Touch gives perception of objects. Touch is about connecting with physiology. It is the relationship that most directly stimulates our brain.

WORDS OF PRAISE

Words of Praise means to give applause to someone. It means to let them know you have approval, respect and regard for them. It is about giving appreciation to someone for the little and the big things in life.

ORGANIZING FOR PERFECTION

Organizing for Perfection means to make things established and coordinated. It is about being systematized, directed, adjusted, standardized, assigned, in good form, in its place, put away, orderly, in sequence, arranged, prepared, made ready, settled, planned, formed, fashioned, shaped, projected, designed, harmonized, associated, classified, related.

TIME TOGETHER

Time Together means being united, connected, at one with, in unison, joined. Being together is at the heart of the idea of partnership. If you have issues of being abandoned, then time together has much greater meaning for you.

MAGIC, MYSTERY & WONDER

Magic, Mystery and Wonder means enchantment, prophecy, alchemy, the unusual, the enigmatic. The magical is where some people live, some people just visit, and others are afraid to go. LISTENING

Listening means to attend to, to keep one’s ears open, to be attentive to, to monitor, to give attention to, to hear. Listening is being a good audience. It is about getting someone. When you give acknowledgement, it means you have listened to who they are.

SHARING

Sharing means to divide, to apportion, to allot, to distribute. It also means to dispense, to assign, to partake of, to take part in, to receive and have a portion of. Sharing is about taking what you have and dividing it so you and someone else can use it. It can also be about sharing a vision together.

TEACHING

Teaching means to tutor, to coach, to instruct, to educate, to profess, to explain to, to expound, to lecture, to direct, to give a briefing, to edify, to enlighten, and to guide. It can also mean to show how, to give lessons in, to ground, to rear, to prepare, to interpret, to instill, to indoctrinate, to initiate, to inform, to nurture, and to illustrate.

ACTS OF SERVICE

Service means to obey the call of duty, to fulfill an obligation, to assume one’s responsibilities. Being of Service is being able to help someone. When you are of service you can wait on someone, or attend to them, or provide for them. It’s when you carry out duties for others, to meet their needs.

PROTECTION

Protection means to shield from danger and injury, to defend one’s self and others. It means to watch over and safeguard another. Protection is to care for, to make secure, to shelter, to harbor, to screen, to cherish.

GIFTS

Gifts means to endow someone, to bequeath to them, to reward them. Gifts are tangible offerings, usually in physical form, that demonstrate a feeling of appreciation for something done. When given, a gift says I value you. When received, a gift says you value me.
