You’ve heard of the love languages, right? They say there are only 5 love languages but it turns out you’ve been lied to! Seems common these days!
Gary Chapman observed and identified 5 unique love languages while working in his private counseling practice. He found that each one of us perceives love differently and if we are not loved in the way that we can feel, then we don’t feel love. This is important in understanding what one needs in a relationship as well as to identify how we best can love others intelligently.
Gary Chapman has been on Oprah and has brought his message to families struggling in relationships. His work has changed many lives for the better.
It is this book that I sent my dad (the late Dr. Denny Thompson) over 15 years ago. Being a new mother, I was always into reading and exploring new ways to connect with my children. My dad who was a doctor and author was doing research at the time in Ayurvedic Medicine as he was working on writing another book. While studying some ancient medical texts, he came upon a discovery that there are really 12 different and unique love languages and not just 5 as Gary Chapman had earlier discovered. Dr. Thompson came across a unique pattern that we are all born with that makes us feel and express love differently according to the 12 Ways of Love he discovered. This information is brain based and neurologically driven. My dad went on to discover that everyone has 4 of these 12 love languages as their Love Intelligence Code and that these ways of love literally dictate our will, our desires and our behavior.
This unique pattern is important in understanding as it can reveal how we operate in relationships.
Some of my closest friends have read The 5 Love Languages only to be saddened upon NOT finding their primary way of love. Once they discovered that there are actually 12 Ways of Love, they feel relieved to know that their unique way of feeling and expressing love is known.
My dad went on to write The 12 Ways of Love to expound upon this ancient finding and to help people resolve conflicts in their relationships and improve their health, relationships and their life.
Five years before my dad died, he asked me to get his computer and carry on his life’s work called Relationship Medicine and the Love Intelligence Code. Whenever he reminded me that I was to do this….it was always a resounding YES!
This is my attempt to do just that.

It turns out that relationships are the number one risk factor for health and longevity. It doesn’t matter if you eat organic, (although I do!) don’t exercise, (Yes I do this too!) doesn’t matter how much money you have…what matters most is if you have good quality relationships in your life. This is what will make you rich, happy, and satisfied.
We can create and design nurturing relationships in our life but most of us need a little help!
If you want to get your Love Intelligence Code, purchase it here.
You will be so happy you did!
